At B'Hive, we aim to bring you a high calibre mix of music, from UK & touring artists.
The Loft is the perfect setting for intimate performances,
ideal for roots and acoustic, folk, country, Americana & jazz.
All gigs are ticketed with receipts going to the performers.
There is a maximum capacity of 50 in The Loft and seating is first come first served.
If you want to come to any of these gigs, book early to avoid disappointment.

The Gillies

Friday 28th August

The Gillies are an Americana, Folk singer/songwriter duo from SE London. Their music tells of love, loss, bittersweet and harsh realities, the distinctive sound of their acoustic guitars create an intense lonesome dark, bare bones, musical style.

They have released four albums, an EP and a Christmas single - often working with award winning producer, Phil Dearing from LSound Studios, London.

An evening of East European inspired jazz. Experience an anarchic display of virtuosity on mandolin, accordion, violin, double bass, guitar and alto sax played by four of the best jazz musicians in the area.

Jim Maving & Mike Wesson

Friday 18th September

We are delighted to have Jim Maving back at The Loft. Jim's career has taken him from The O2, London to touring the UK, Europe and the US and all points in-between. He was Mick Ralphs' (Mott The Hoople/Bad Co) guitar player in Micks solo band for 6 years and guitarist for leading UK Americana outfit, Case Hardin for 10 years. Recent years have found him as part of Nashville's own, Don Gallardos European touring band and AMA-UK Award winning songwriter Dean Owens' band. Tonight he's joined by his good friend, keyboard supremo Mike Wesson.

Roswell Road

Friday 25th September

Roswell Road is a joyful, harmony-obsessed Americana duo from London. Their multi-instrumental harmony-infused sound has been likened to First Aid Kit, Fleetwood Mac and the Indigo Girls.

They have just released their debut album 'Rebel Joy' and are currently touring the UK.

Saturday 17th October

Will is an indie folk artist from Rotherham. His music blends heartfelt storytelling with modern, atmospheric production. He is paying a visit to B'Hive as part of his tour to promote his second album 'True To Form'.

Dryadic

Friday 23rd October

Anthemic, political, fiddle driven, rootsy folk-pop with candid lyrics, heart-soaring hooks, and intoxicating vocals.

Since forming in 2017, Dryadic have built a reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling contemporary folk-roots bands, known for their rousing live shows, unapologetically feminist songwriting, and rich, string-led arrangements. Fronted by Zora McDonald alongside Aly Rainey on fiddle and George Pearson on double bass, the band have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, appearing on stages including Glastonbury Avalon, Chai Wallahs, Brighton Pride, Hackney Empire, and Drayton Arms Theatre. They have shared stages with Grace Petrie, Heather Peace, and O’Hooley & Tidow, and McDonald has duetted live with Nadine Benjamin MBE.

The Swaps

Friday 13th November

Beth Brooks (vocals), James Knight (guitar and vocals), and Adam Phillips (guitar and vocals) have been honing their blend of blues, soul and folk for many years in different line-ups but have recently found the real magic (and national recognition) as an acoustic trio. The Swaps build most of their music around Beth’s jaw-dropping vocals and the instinctive guitar interplay between James and Adam. The dynamics and variety of textures they achieve with only two instruments and three voices is astonishing. All three are songwriters, which perhaps explains the variety and exceptional quality of the material on their “SWAPS LIVE” album. Recorded at the Upton Blues Festival in 2024, this is the first recording they have released as a trio. Their new album “Fast Train” is out now.

Manos Puestas is a highly professional and accomplished Latin jazz trio featuring 2 virtuoso guitarists, double bass, vocals and cajon, the trio has many years experience between them and have performed throughout Europe including Montreux Jazz, WOMAD and Glastonbury Festivals.
If you fancy some Gypsy jazz, Bebop, Latin and Rumba, this is the place to be!

Gráinne Hunt

Saturday 12th December

A queer, nu-folk, singer-songwriter with a voice like complex coffee, Gráinne Hunt is a standout among Ireland’s most compelling vocalists and songwriters – blending raw emotion with a quiet, commanding power. Gráinne’s solid reputation has landed her onto stages with Glenn Hansard and U2, and opening slots for Gladys Knight and Eagle-Eye Cherry.

Her original music is anchored in deeply personal experiences; Gráinne writes on themes of identity, pain, longing, resilience, and joy. This emotional honesty and storytelling depth have earned her comparisons to Tracy Chapman and Natalie Merchant.

Together with San Diego-based drummer and vocalist Jules Stewart, the pair create a sound rich in harmonies, heartfelt stories and magnetic onstage chemistry. With extensive tours in the United States and Australia during the first quarter of 2026, Gráinne’s place as a rising force on the international folk scene is cemented.

Elizabeth & Jameson

The welcome return of Elizabeth & Jameson to B'Hive. Those of you who were lucky enough to see them in February will know what a memorable night this will be.
Hannah (vocals/violin) and Griff (vocals/guitar) have become mainstays of the UK acoustic folk-roots scene, touring widely and sharing stages with the likes of Turin Brakes, Scott Matthews and Jools Holland,

Expect more of their delightful original music plus some Christmas specials along the way.
